Sylvester was left with a paralysis in the lower left side of his face due to complications during childbirth. He now has his signature "snarling" expression and slightly his voice is slurred. Stallone spent some of his childhood in foster homes due to his parents' insecurities. After that, the couple broke up. Stallone took classes in drama in Switzerland at the American College before moving on to Miami University. He quit school prior to having completed his studies and relocated to New York City to pursue acting as a career.
